We invite applications for up to two Postdoctoral Research Associates to work with Professor Alex Scott on an exciting new EPSRC-funded project Local-Global Interactions in Combinatorics. These are full time positions, fixed-term for two years each, and the post-holders will be based at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford.

The successful candidates will be part of a research group with the responsibility for carrying out research in combinatorics. Relevant areas of expertise to the project include extremal graph theory, structural graph theory, external and probabilistic combinatorics, and related areas. They will manage their own academic research and administrative activities, write up their results for publication, present papers at conferences, contribute ideas for new research projects and represent the research group at meetings.

Applicants will be expected to have, or be close to completing, a PhD in mathematics or a related discipline. They will possess sufficient relevant specialist knowledge to work within the established research programme and have excellent communication skills, alongside the ability to manage their own academic research and associated activities.
