Data on women alumnae of univ of Chicago math dep

Written by Moon Duchin

Moon Duchin has  put together an informal collection of data on women alumnae of the University of Chicago Mathematics Department. The idea was to include all those at any level (undergraduate,  graduate, and faculty) who went on at least one level further in  academic mathematics after leaving Chicago. The main intent was to  track placement patterns. The data contains some very interesting and  unexpected trends, which are discussed  here.

Thanks to Moon, herself a U of Chicago alumna and  currently a postdoc at UC Davis, for allowing us to post this material publicly for the first time.
