Salary: GBP 32,816 – GBP 40,322 per annum

Limit of tenure: between one and four years, subject to the availability of funding

Applications are invited for one or more postdoctoral Research Associate(s) in the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics to work on number theory and/or representation theory.
The positions are associated with Dr Jessica Fintzen’s ERC grant (subject to project approval) and / or Royal Society Fellowship and include a generous research allowance.

The Research Associate(s) will be expected to plan and manage their own research and administration, with guidance when required, and is/are expected to be an active member of Dr Fintzen’s research group and the number theory group at the University of Cambridge. The position does not include any teaching obligations, although opportunities may be available within the Department.

The successful candidate(s) will have completed or be about to complete a PhD in number theory, representation theory or a closely related field, and have a strong research background (commensurate with their career stage) and excellent communication skills.
