University Assistant Post Doc

The Research Unit Econometrics (EOS) of the Institute of Statistics and Mathematical Methods in Economics at TU Wien invites applications for a postdoctoral assistant (assistant professor non-tenure track) in Econometrics and Statistics.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate is expected to conduct high-quality research in Econometrics or Statistics and to independently teach in the Bachelor’s and Master’s program of Statistics and Mathematical Methods in Economics, in particular courses in Time Series Analysis and Econometrics. (Co-)supervision of students and participation in the administrative duties of the research unit and the institute are also expected.

Qualifications: The successful candidate must hold PhD degree in Mathematics, Econometrics, Statistics or related field at the time of employment. The ability to teach in German is desirable, but not necessary. Salary Range: The monthly minimum salary is currently (in the collective agreement §49 (3) Pay Grade B1, Level 3) EUR 4.061,50 gross (14x per year). Prior experience may result in higher salary.

The contract is for a period of 6 years. The starting date is March 2023, or by mutual agreement.
