We are looking for a candidate that represents an innovative field in mathematical modeling and numerical simulation, for example, modeling and simulation with stochastic partial differential equations, mathematical foundations and applications of machine learning. Teaching responsibilities are reduced in the first four years and can be carried out in English or German.

The position is limited for 6 years (with the requirement of a positive interim evaluation after 4 years). After five years at the latest, a tenure evaluation will be carried out. In case of a positive tenure evaluation, a permanent Chair (W2) of Applied Mathematics will be granted. The tenure evaluation will be carried out by a TU Dresden faculty-wide and school-wide commission.
