Professorship of Pure Mathematics

The Professorship of Pure Mathematics is a cornerstone of Oxford’s commitment to research in fundamental mathematics, who will be a research mathematician of the highest international calibre.
You will be part of Oxford’s world-leading Mathematical Institute (as our department of mathematics is known). You will carry out original research of the utmost quality and provide research leadership in a major branch of pure mathematics. You will attract research funding and contribute significantly to the leadership of the Institute and the evolution of its research strategy.
You will teach, both undergraduate and graduate students, to the highest standards, and will supervise postdoctoral researchers.
