Postdoctoral position in applications of algebra/algebraic geometry

The University of Missouri-Columbia, Department of Mathematics invites applications for a full-time, benefit eligible postdoctoral position in applications of algebra/algebraic geometry. Particular interests of the department are algebraic methods in applied and computational mathematics including, but not limited to, signal processing, data recovery and phase retrieval.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with members of the Algebraic and Probabilistic Methods in Data Recovery (APMDR) group that was recently formed in our department. The department also expects to hire a postdoctoral researcher with interests in high dimensional probability who will also work with the APMDR group.

The position begins in September 2019 and can be renewed for a period of up to three years. Subject to budgetary approval the teaching load is three one-semester courses per academic year. Candidates should have completed a doctoral degree in Mathematics or related field by August 1, 2019.
