Postdoc of Mathematical Modeling of Bacterial Growth
The postdoc will become part of a research group that values collaboration and mutual support, fostering both individual and collective well-being. The position is in the research group of Professor Johnny T. Ottesen, in close collaboration with Associate Professor Morten Andersen (mathematics) and Associate Professor Fatima AlZahra’a Alatraktchi (biology) and her microbiology team. The project focuses on quorum sensing, a communication mechanism used by bacteria to coordinate synchronized, cooperative behavior at the population level. Specifically, the aim is to investigate the mechanisms that control the progression of bacterial communities and to understand how and why these communities may evolve in different directions. Although the project is mathematically focused, it is highly interdisciplinary and involves close collaboration with biologists.
