Postdoc in Network Science at Oxford

We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate with a comprehensive background in network science, to work alongside Professor Renaud Lambiotte at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. The position is full time, fixed-term for 36 months, and the post-holder will be supported by a grant from the EPSRC. It is available for an immediate start.

The successful candidate will conduct research as part of an exciting new project which focuses on developing new methods to capture the structure and dynamics of temporal networks. They will have the opportunity to write up their results for publication and represent the Oxford Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics at external meetings/seminars, whilst also managing their own academic research and administrative activities.

Applicants will be expected to have, or be close to completing, a PhD in mathematics or a related discipline. They will possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline, in particular a background in the theoretical aspects of network science, and ideally in relation to data mining and temporal networks. They will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publications, present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings, and be able to manage their own academic research and associated activities.
