Assistant/Associate Professor in Mathematics (permanent)

The School of Mathematical Sciences in Dublin City University seeks to recruit an Assistant Professor in Algebra or Discrete Mathematics to develop and expand its research and teaching activities in this area. Appointment at the Associate Professor level may be possible for exceptionally qualified candidates. Applicants must hold a PhD in Mathematics. They must have a record of original, high-impact research supported by publications in top international journals or, depending on their career stage, show exceptional promise in this regard. Applications are invited from candidates working in the broad areas of Algebra and Discrete Mathematics (including but not limited to the areas of Combinatorics, Linear and Multilinear Algebra, Matrix Theory, Statistics, Optimization, Control Theory, Operations Research and Game Theory) and, in particular, applications of these areas. They must also have experience of teaching Mathematics effectively at university level. Commitment to securing external research funding is essential.
