The position is funded through the Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Fellowship project “Pure Mathematics for Statistical inference,” of Dimitra Kosta.
This project will further develop connections between algebra, geometry and statistics in the directions of singular learning theory, phylogenetic algebraic geometry and algebraic combinatorics (in particular concerning unimodular toric ideals, toric fibre products and Markov bases).
The position is available from September 1, 2025, for a 36 months fixed-term, full-time contract with a potential 6 month extension.
