The Essen Seminar for Algebraic Geometry and Arithmetic invites applications for a postdoc position within the Research Training Group 2553 “Symmetries and classifying spaces: analytic, arithmetic and derived” funded by the German Research Foundation DFG.

The position we offer is a 3.5-year-position at a salary level of 100% of an E13 TV-L position, the standard type of position for postdocs in Germany. There will be no teaching duties.

Your main task will be independent research in one of the areas of the Research Training Group. You will be a member of one of its research groups and be mentored by its principal investigators.

We intend to fill the position starting on September 1, 2025 or later. The end date of the position is March 31, 2029 (a fixed date independently of the actual starting date because it coincides with the end of funding for the Research Training Group).
