Slovenia is a new member of EWM. Thus, there were no activities so far to promote gender balance in mathematics. However, there were several activities in past years to promote women in science, and there are ongoing efforts to attract more girls to studies in maths and computer science.

According to the first count, there are 23 women professors in mathematics in Slovenia (at all three universities), which is approximately 16% of all professors in mathematics. There are many more post-docs, teaching assistants and researchers, so we expect that the balance will gradually improve in the next few years as these young mathematicians advance in their careers.
